What a holy place, yet we could not resist taking a picture, after hearing the tales of the relationship between Michalangelo and the Vatican (seems the Vatican had to force him come to Rome at times). His work is outstanding, even if some of his paintings were given clothes and fig leaves after M died. Interesting where he put the face of the secretary to the Pope that he disliked so much! To think that we were able to walk, see and sit in the very room where Pope's are elected… We were able to spend 15 minutes just in this room admiring all the
paintings on the walls and ceilings…
