  Biking Highlights:

  • Five favorite biking trails:
    • Cuyahoga Valley National Park (Ohio),
    • Chief Ladiga (Alabama),
    • Little Miami Valley (Ohio),
    • Longleaf (Mississippi),
    • River Mountains (Nevada),and
    • Tanglefoot (Mississippi)
  • 386 miles biked on 27 trails (13 trails of 15 miles or more) which is the same as the distance from SF to LA
  • Longest bike trail ridden: 42 miles on the Tanglefoot Trail in Mississippi
  • 34 mph fastest biking speed in Oklahoma City
  • Most beautiful trail: Cuyahoga Valley National Park (Ohio)
  • Most challenging trail: River Mountains (Nevada) – 35 miles long with 2,500’ elevation gain
  • Windiest: Katy Trail – 40 mph headwinds (Oklahoma)
  • Most crowded trail: Atlanta Beltway (Georgia)
  • Longest bridge: Big Dam Bridge (4,226’ long) on the Arkansas River Trail in Little Rock

  Campground/Driving Highlights:

  • 19 campgrounds visited
  • Most beautiful campground: Gettysburg KOA (Pennsylvania)
  • 7,927 miles driven
  • Lowest gas price: $3.59/gallon in Oklahoma City
  • Longest driving day: 626 miles driven in 11.5 hours from Omaha, Nebraska to Rawlins, Wyoming

  • 24 states visited
  • Best Mexican restaurant: The Shed, Santa Fe, New Mexico
  • Best BBQ: Muddy Waters In Hattiesburg, Mississippi
  • Best family-owned restaurant: Glen Rock Pizzeria in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania
  • Highest temperature: 90 degrees in Hattiesburg, Mississippi
  • Lowest temperature: 24 degrees in Gallup, New Mexico
  • Fiercest thunderstorm: Tupelo, Mississippi
  • Most hail from a Thunderstorm: Columbus, Ohio
  • Total rain on us while biking: zero!
  • Windiest driving states: AZ, NM, OK, NE, WY, NV
