This Pieta was created by Michelangelo early in his career of many
that he did. It is now behind protective glass in St Peter's
Baisilica. It is breath-takeningly beautiful, as is the entire
Basilica and Vatican Museum. One becomes Catholic for a day when
touring this collection of art! It was especially nice to kneel and
pray for our friends and neighbors by name inside this huge sanctuary
that can hold 60,000 people if they all stand. Yes, we prayed for you.
