A rainstorm this morning was a delight to see and gave us the opportunity to take care of some things around the trailer as well as a couple of errands in town before heading out for our bike ride of the day in the afternoon.
We enjoyed a delightful ride in the midst of the 2,200-acre Bedford Reservation which offers a hilly, natural oasis for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and a paved trail that we used for street cycling. This trail is located just beyond the north end of Cuyahoga National Park amidst a gorgeous forest of trees with Tinkers Creek, a tributary of the Cuyahoga River, running though it.
The trail is seven miles long, and that’s all that we rode today. It was not a rail trail and many of the steeper hills required our lowest gears. The exercise ring on our watches closed pretty quickly!
We took our lunch break at the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls. Although the falls weren’t nearly as majestic as their namesake in Yosemite, it was a gorgeous place to enjoy our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
This ends our three day stay near Cleveland and we leave tomorrow to see two sets of friends in Columbus. Here’s Sue’s ReLive video of our ride. Enjoy, and thanks for following our cycling.
