A few folks have asked us what it is like to live in a travel trailer. We find it easy and fun. As you can see from the photos, the trailer is very comfortable. In fact, we have used it for several three-month long trips.

As you enter the trailer from the rear, you step into the kitchen area which comes complete with a small refrigerator and freezer, stove top, oven, microwave, and sink area.  The area with the dining table and bench seats is what’s known as a ‘slider’.  When we travel it is retracted into the trailer but once we arrive at our destination it can be extended to its full width. The dining table lowers and that area can be used for sleeping but we have never used it that way.  The slider really opens up the whole trailer in a nice way.

Main living area

The interior of our trailer also includes a love seat/sofa bed, storage space, and TV/stereo.  We are watching the TV tonight rooting on our beloved Golden State Warriors from our campground outside of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Our bedroom area includes the bed, storage space, and a small sink and medicine cabinet. The trailer is a bit longer than we had originally wanted, but because most trailers usually have a small bed in a limited space and only the longer trailers allow space on both sides of the bed which are more comfortable for taller people to get into, we opted for this model.

The trailer also has a small restroom with a toilet and a small but usable shower. It has a large fresh water tank to fill when needed, but on this trip we rely on water from RV parks. There are large tanks that hold ‘gray’ water from the kitchen and shower, and a separate tank for the toilet. Everything runs on propane or battery, except the microwave and AC which need electricity. We also have a large solar panel to recharge the battery daily.

outside relaxation

The outside of our trailer has an extendable awning to provide shade.  At the end of the afternoon, you can usually find the two of us enjoying a happy hour relaxing in our camp chairs underneath the awning.

We are very grateful for this opportunity to travel and explore in such comfortable surroundings
