We are done traveling along the eastern coast of New Zealand and ready for our bicycle ride across the interior of the South Island. After eight days of driving on the ‘wrong side’ of the road, without any incidents, the Hertz car rental was successfully turned in after arriving in Dunedin, NZ, . We had a great time visiting in the Marlborough region, Kaikoura, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
On Wednesday morning, we left on a scenic train from Dunedin to the Otago Valley traveling up the Taieri River Gorge.
