We were amazed at the size and grandeur of the windows that King Louis had commissioned. After 5 minutes of awe I began to see that most scenes in the windows had more to do with knights and power rather than simple Bible stories. But wow. It is said that the King paid more to purchase the thorns and a piece of the cross used on Jesus, from another owner, than it cost to build this chapel inside the royal castle. This place was truly about power so long ago.
