First class on the bullet train was just great! It carried us from Paris to Avignon in just 2 hours or so. We visited the Papel Palace… The pope actually resided in France during difficult political times in the late 1300s and early 1400’s… So we toured the palace and stood in the old Vatican bedroom of 600+ years ago. We in America have little comprehension of history and tradition…. when compared to sleeping near 2000 year old forums and arenas where we are now in Arles.
