From the lavender fields, our backroads driving took us directly through the French Alps! Wow. At times we thoughs we were in the Sierra Nevada mountains and Yosemite. Eventually the road has steep downhills as we went south into Cannes. This picture is of a abbey built high above a town. Look at the rock in the center of this pic to see the church!
