Well, all good things come to an end, and so we have no more bicycle rides to do in May. On Monday morning, Ted felt a nasal drip and achy so we skipped stopping at Indianapolis and did the right thing to get a covid test. It showed positive! He’s pretty sure he got it from Gettysburg museum theater when the woman behind him kept coughing. So Ted is in no condition to push himself with 30 mile bicycles rides… plus a storm is going through with rain for multiple days.

So we are heading home early, after five weeks on the road. Since Ted had his second booster shot a few weeks before this trip, his symptoms are very mild with just a runny nose and achy-ness. Sue is feeling just fine. We’ve been wearing masks 24×7, and doing a good job isolating ourselves in our truck and trailer. In fact, it’s a good night – we are having a pizza delivered to our campsite after a long drive today – and we have TNT on the great cable TV here to bring us the Warriors playoff game!

We will send a concluding blog-post with a summary of our trip, but for now, we wanted to give you this health update, and how it has shortened our trip.
